Geneva (29 October 2013): Following a declaration of intent, Serbia has now applied for membership to the Convention. The complete application was received on 15 October 2013. The next step will be for the Standing Committee to appoint an Inspection Team, which will visit Serbia in order to verify that the country is able to apply the Convention's requirements. The visit will take place in the course of 2014.
